North Carolina Homeless Education Listserv

NCHEP's Homeless Education listserv provides colleagues across North Carolina with a forum for communicating about emerging issues in the field of homeless education, including the implementation of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and best practices for supporting the education of children and youth in homeless situations.

The listserv is open to people in North Carolina interested in supporting the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness, including local homeless education liaisons, shelter personnel, social service agency personnel, child welfare caseworkers, etc.

Local School District Contacts

Under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, every school district in the country must appoint a local homeless education liaison to be the key homeless education contact for the district.
