This report explores collaborative efforts of schools and social service agencies working with homeless children and families. The report identifies frequently encountered barriers and successful strategies to overcome them. It examines specific programs and practices that could be adapted effectively for use in similar settings by school-level educators, local homeless liaisons, state homeless coordinators, social service workers, and other personnel who work in any capacity with homeless students.
